ISLA – Polytechnic Institute of Management and Technology (ISLA-IPGT) is located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto metropolitan area). It is organised into two schools - the School of Management and the School of Technology. Its activity includes higher education courses, research and development and external services. ISLA-IPGT is integrated into the largest Portuguese group of private education – the Lusófona group. The group has 75,000 students and higher education institutions in Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Guinea, and Cape Verde. ISLA-IPGT provides 8 undergraduate degrees in the areas of management, tourism, computing, multimedia, and safety at work. It also offers five master’s degrees in the areas mentioned above and more than a dozen higher professional technical programmes. The two schools integrate about 1,300 students, 77 teachers and 20 non-teaching staff. Most of our students are from the north of Portugal, but we have students of 25 different nationalities.
