AGENCIA PARA EL EMPLEO DE MADRID
Agencia para el Empleo de Madrid (AE) is a Public Administration with about 300 workers that manages the employment policies of the City of Madrid.
AE develops actions and measures for guiding, employment and training unemployed to improve their access opportunities to enter into the labour market, either as employees or self-employed.
The specific activities of the AE are:
1. Individual customer service:
a. Guiding
b. Information and Professional advice service
c. Self-employment
2. Training and employment:
a. Vocational training to achieve employment
b. Training-employment mixed programmes (similar to on-the-job training)
c. Works, services programmes and employment workshops.
d. Theoretical-practical training, compensatory education, labour counselling, occupational hazard prevention, environmental awareness and computer literacy modules.
3. Labour market integration:
a. Job-matching activities
b. Business and market research
c. Neighbourhoods Plans
d. Women Employment Plans
e. Special Plans for the most vulnerable areas in Madrid.
