The Lifelong Learning Unit of the Department of Education in Barcelona manages 165 adult education centers with 1088 teachers, and 9 in penitentiary facilities. We work with other units to process agreements and supervise the teaching staff. Centers located in penitentiary facilities require close collaboration with the Department of Justice. The students have access to varied training offers: basic education, secondary education, access courses to vocational training, access to university + 25 years, languages, and digital training. We have detected a series of needs to improve education in these centers. Therefore, we are looking for organizations, authorities, and institutions that deal with adult education in penitentiary facilities. We offer collaboration and exchange to address needs and share ideas, especially with countries with better indicators than ours.
