What is ISBA?

The International Short Break Association (ISBA) is a worldwide initiative comprised of individuals, agencies and organisations who are involved in the development and delivery of short breaks/respite services which promote support for people to live ordinary lives.

ISBA objectives

– To organise a biennial conference that contributes to a common understanding of the development of good short breaks/ respite care, which support individuals, families and caregivers.
– To develop a platform for the exchange of knowledge, courses of action and best working practices.
– To provide a chance to learn from and to talk to people from around the globe.

Every two years a community of service providers, carers and experts meet for a 3 day conference in order to make links, share and acquire knowledge in the field of short breaks and respite care.

If you aim to make new international links and learn more about short breaks, it's definitely a place to be at! The next conference will take place in Reykjavik, 9-11 October 2018.

Registration is still open - to get more information please visit the conference website www.isba.me.

It's more then a conference, it's an experience!
