The total EU contribution to strategic projects must be within a minimum of € 2.5 million and a maximum of € 3.5 million.

The "ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020" is a multilateral cross-border cooperation programme co-financed by the European Union under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI).

 

Following the decision of the Joint Monitoring Committee, this call for strategic projects addresses the 7 thematic Priorities listed in the table below. A proposal shall refer to one Priority only:

A.1 Business and SMEs development

A.2 Support to education, research, technological development and innovation

A.3 Promotion of social inclusion and the fight against poverty

B.4 Environmental protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation

 

Applicants and partners must be established in the eligible territories of the countries participating in the Programme: Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine, Portugal, Spain and Tunisia.

 

The planned duration of a project must be between 24 and 30 months.

 

Applications must be submitted using the online Application Form available at www.enicbcmed.eu/eform.

 

The deadline for the submission of project proposals is July 3 rd 2019 at 1 pm (CET).

Objectives: 
The Programme provides the framework for the implementation of cross-border cooperation activities in the context of the European Neighbourhood Policy, complementing efforts exerted within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, with the final aim of developing an area of peace, stability, prosperity and good neighbourliness involving EU Mediterranean Countries (EUMC) and Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPCs).
Elegibilility of the applicants: 
The cross-border dimension of the projects is the specific and strategic feature of the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme, representing a key driver for the Programme effectiveness. For strategic projects, the project partnership shall represent a minimum of four (4) different eligible countries including at least two (2) EU Mediterranean Countries (EUMC) and two (2) Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPC).
