Last month, on the 19th and 20th June, the international event of the project YEP – Young Enterprise Program was held in Milan.
The YEP program is financed by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission and in Italy also by two Foundations: Cariplo and Giulini.

The YEP program aims at promoting new practices to support youth entrepreneurship, specifically for those young people who neither studying or working, in the cities of Milan, Madrid and Lisbon.
The initiative has offered around 80 aspiring young entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend specific training on how to start a business, followed by an incubation stage for the most innovative ideas, particularly focusing on social entrepreneurship and new technologies.

On the 19th afternoon, we organised a round table discussion, together with our partners from Acción contra el Hambre and ALCC – Associação Lusofonia, Cultura e Cidadania and some Yeppers (the direct young beneficiaries of the project).

Also some external experts took part in this session, namely: Caroline Cooke from Foroige, reference person for the NFTE Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and Sofia Corsi, Project Development Officer of ALDA European Association for Local Democracy.

In the meantime, our young beneficiaries had been working on self-assessement and evaluation activities through some non-formal education methodologies.
On this occasion, the italian, spanish and portuguese Yeppers had discussed about the main difficulties they had faced and had described those possible solutions to overcome their major obstacles, by their own point of view.

On the 20th June, the second part of the international event was organised in Milan, through a workshop open to the public.
Also the Assessor of Job Policies of Milan Municipality, Cristina Tajani, took part to the open workshop.

Two main topics had been discussed with some italian and international experts:
1. Funds management and access to credit
2. One-to-one mentoring
